Buying below a prior market peak can create an attractive basis, but a bridge-to-DSCR strategy only works if the stabilized property can qualify for the refinance. In Zillow’s August 2026 data, Austin is 26.8% below peak, Denver 9.0%, Dallas–Fort Worth 8.6% and Tampa Bay 8.2%.
